A new website called 1000Keyboards has been launched. Wait! Let me tell you that your assumption of the site goes quite wrong here. It is not a website related to musicians anyways but dedicated to authors. Yes! Whosoever, interested in writing, even if you write humor or tragedies, sci-fi or romance, make sure that you have an account here. You can not only write your stories here but also make your own communities, join others and receive feedbacks on your writings.
The portal does specify that your work must be within 800 to 1000 words as the website is considering only short stories. Also, your stories will be made public and you can’t save any of them from the eyes of the readers. Obviously you have a space to maintain your profile where all links to your stories will be given. Your profile will also display the list of writers you are reading and stories from other sources that you have added as your favorites. For readers and users both, searching for short stories is easy. You can search your query by name or can view the list of top viewed or recently viewed stories, new stories or popular authors. Another option available is to search according to the categories you are interested in like sci-fi, drama etc. Users can rate stories, send private messages and in a way socialize with other people.
However, the bad part is that it is not easy to find the stories you will like to read. Also, there is no way you can keep updated with a specific author’s work. With a few improvements, this site can do good, to a lot many authors and readers.
