Apple has now confirmed a ban on the popular social networking site MySpace in its stores. The ban was announced following the reason that visitors use the Macs on display, take photos of themselves with the built-in webcams, and spend a lot of time using MySpace on the machines.
An Apple store employee said:
MySpace is a big issue for the Apple stores because people come in, Photobooth themselves (using Macs’ built-in webcams), then stick their picture up on their MySpace account and loiter at machines for hours.
The only thing that I can get out of this ban is that MySpace rocks. That’s the only reason Apple had to confirm this ban on MySpace usage in its retail stores.
