Recently, Apple announced to offer online movie rentals via its iTunes store and now, it has announced to sell iTunes songs over at music-focused Bebo social network. This is simple, clean approach to target the youths in a more apt way. The deal will be limited to UK and Ireland in the beginning, but could extend to its Bebo’s entire user base of 33 million users in the long run.

Other than that, there will be a free download every week sponsored by Bebo to encourage new artists. Now, the registered bands would have the option to sell their music directly to the visitors via iTunes with the help of a link that goes straight to the purchase page provided the music is there in the iTunes catalog.

Financial Times
said that the deal with Bebo will give Apple a deeper reach into the market segment of 16- to 24-year-olds, who are both keen users of social networking sites, and key consumers of music.

The deal between the duos will help Apple a lot to promote its already-so-famous iTunes. The deal would turn out to be an effective way to reach the youth demographic
