Web 2.0 is about users’ choice and democracy. Towing the line, a new site A site ArtFaceOff offers artists to compete with each other and win a prize.
It works this way - an artist can register and upload the images his work and tag it appropriately. Then they can face-off with other artists. This is where they move to the next level or are eliminated. The eventual winner gets $1,000 as prize money.
This is an odd competition by any figment of imagination, however, the site is a very good platform for wannabe professional artists to show off their work. Not only this, it is also likely to promote amateurs to try out their hands in artistry. It would rather be very interesting to see a competition like this going on and not to mention interact with someone who can become very famous with some luck in the future.
