MixerCast puts the users at ease to integrate their own content and create custom web channels, movies, music videos, and photo galleries. The start-up has made deals with some content providers to enable its users to legally merge professionally produced videos, music and images with their own content and hyper-syndicate the well-off media mashups on the web.
Users also have the option to monetize their content as they could add advertising into their MixerCast content packages, which gets tracked by integrated measurement systems. The site tracks the number of times each video is viewed, and then places ads all across the Web. Jennifer Cooper, CEO of the company says:
It’s like having your own personal broadcast station with access to high-quality licensed content so you can create context and a much richer experience.
At MixerCast, audience is playing with the content itself. The site is built on Ajax, Flash and other radical software programming. They are offering a unique service in a way and might lure venture capitalists in the near future.
