Shiny Media will soon be basking in the bright sun after they received a $4.5 million worth of funding for the 50 % stake in Shiny media from Bright Station Ventures group.
Dan Wagner, the entrepreneur behind the venture capitalists earlier made a mistake of lifetime by not investing in Ebay when it needed help. The shares now would have been worth million or billions of dollars.
Shiny media was a small startup which started from the flats in London has come a long way since then. Today they have 22 blogs on which 3 million visitors come every month and it claims to be the largest publisher of blogs in Europe. They now have a team of 30 bloggers including freelancers and this funding will be helpful in their future plans if they have any.
Coming months will tell us how well this money is used in order to develop the blogs further as at present the core team of Shiny Media doesn’t have any concrete plans.
