Famesource is a social network aimed to provide up-and-coming talent with a world-wide stage to share their abilities across the web. This is the place where you could upload videos, music and photos in the talent categories including Music, Acting, Sports, Comedy, Modeling, and Dance.
This free service allows users to create descriptive profiles and to upload videos, images, and audio for the general viewing public to vote on. They have added a Digg-like voting feature-voters choose to “Fame” or “Shame” a talent and can add themselves as a “Fan” of talent they like. Users with the highest number of votes in each category then make it to the front page of the website, where they gain an enormous amount of exposure and judgment.
The talent with a combination of the most votes and fans in all of the categories will be considered the “Featured Talent”, and will be highlighted in its own section on the main page. Every visitor to Famesource.com will notice them as the current “web celeb”.
Not getting the fame you deserve? The “Wall of Fame” is a section of the site dedicated to talent who want to gain more exposure by bidding with “famebucks” to promote their media. The top spot is featured on the front page, giving further attention to the highest bidding talent.
Famesource could be a place to show off the talent but will attract people to visit and vote the talent only if the content is of high quality. While the numbers of talent showcasing social networks are increasing by the day, Famesource will have to have innovative features to stand out from the crowd and attract talent.
