Yahoo!’s popular photo-sharing website Flickr has gone multilingual now. Other than English, the site now offers support for seven languages, including French, German, Korean, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish, and traditional Chinese. Flickr is growing at a swift pace and the move could further add to the popularity of the photo sharing site. Flickr founder Stewart Butterfield said:
This is something we wanted to do a long time ago. It is also one of our most requested features. Tech enthusiasts in Buenos Aires, Paris - all over the world - use Flickr but for their families and friends it has been a pain in the butt.
A study conducted by marketing research firm comScore states that nearly 24.8 million people visit Flickr monthly. Anyway, I must tell you that Yahoo Photos is closing on September 20, so you have the option of shifting all your photos and albums to Flickr.
