Frengo, the site better known for the mobile games, has now let loose its mobile social network that lets the users post bulletins and leave comments for friends on MySpace from any mobile phone with text messaging.
Frengo has even received $2.3 million in funding by Index Ventures, Khosla Ventures and private investors. Moreover, you can even create your own games. Other than the games, the site focuses on sports, music and pop culture.

Although the interface looks cool but when I clicked the “Sign Up” button, it didn’t work. That was simple text like the “Play with Friends”, and the “Win Prizes.” Thr register tab is on the top of the page. The co-founder of the site Dan Mosher said:
The first challenge is getting critical mass of users with all of the noise around social networking. The second challenge is just the nature of how phones work - the fact that functionality is limited on SMS versus the web.
They approached the first challenge by creating a broad portfolio of games so that they could have at least one game that interests all the users. The second challenge was overtaken by allowing the users to make groups, run multiple messaging services across groups and send simple commands.

Anyway, when you send any message to your friend’s mobile, it goes along with the “Frendo” logo so that they come to know where it came from.
Note: You must know your friend’s MySpace URL in order to send him/her any comments.
Well, Frengo seems to take off in the right direction as it offers easy interaction between friends along with the cross-device communication supported by a cool interface.
