The Fox entertainment is taking its frustration out on a small website QuicksilverScreen over the copyright issues.
You must be wondering what it has done to annoy Fox so much that it even stopped its auction on SitePoint.
Well this small website which is on net for the past 8 years provides you link to the full-length TV shows and movies available on other popular sites. You know what sites I am talking about the YouTube and DailyMotion.
You will realize that the Fox wants this small site shut but does not has guts enough to take on these popular sites were the popular and copyrighted content is freely available and further these sites have a safe harbor in law as they are providing a platform for people who in turn sometime misuse it and upload copyrighted material.
They then say that if the owners complain they will pull down the video remember Comedy Central.
The site QuicksilverScreen is generating $400 for the owner but is hardly enough to fight the brigade of lawyers the Fox will through in against this helpless site. It is not doing anything illegal but is supplying links to all the illegal material on other websites which the public wants to see.
Here what the Fox lawyers should do follow the links and ask all the illegal material found through link to be pulled down and instead of going for a smaller fish go for the bigger ones.
