
The rumors that search engine giant Google will be acquiring RSS management company Feedburner are finally confirmed.
The deal will put Google down by $100 million. According to some sources the deal will be all cash and mostly upfront.
The deal should is finalized and all legal procedures should be completed within 2-3 weeks and there is nothing left that could abruptly end this deal.
Talking about Feedburner, the company started in 2003 and has raised just $10 million in capital over two rounds. Initially Portage Ventures finder their $1 million Series A round in 2004 and the $9 million Series B was funded by Mobius Venture and Union Square Ventures in the mid of 2005.
