If you are a Gtalk user like me, here is a reason to feel-good. Google has updated its Google Talk Gadget with a host of demanding features, such as Pop out feature, Firefox sidebar integration, Video and Image displays and obviously Group Chat.
Quite long, I was waiting for Group Chat feature. Now I can invite my Gtalk friends to a chat room and urge them for a group discussion. I used to do it with Yahoo.
If you are a gtalk user, you can also enjoy the same service. You just need to click the ‘Group Chat link’ from the gtalk page.
Do not worry if you are a Mac user. It also supports Mac. However, you should note that the new features available for the Google Talk Gadget and not the standalone desktop version.
Google has also made website owners and bloggers happy. They can now integrate Gtalk into their own web locations by adding a line code that creates a button on a webpage. The button will generate conversation in a pop up window.
Another striking feature is YouTube or Picasa integration. The Google Talk Gadget will also preview the video and photos if you simply paste a URL from YouTube or Picasa Web Albums into your chat.
We have had other features, Orkut integration, Offline Messages, File Transfer, and Voicemail.
Oh! I forget one more thing; the Google Talk Gadget also supports Windows Vista.
