Earlier, we thought that the IMSafer isn’t as sophisticated as MySpace’s Zephyr but its new features make it stand face to face with Zephyr. IMSafer, the parental online monitoring service, works with IMs such as Yahoo Messenger, AOL, and MSN.

The newest feature helps the parents to keep a tab on the name, age and location, which is used online by their children. Whenever, the children will log on to MySpace, the IMSafer will notify parents whether they have made change with the used age, name or location. Moreover, it also checks for the content of MySpace comments and instant messages. These features are very much similar to the ones being offered by Zephyr.

IMSafer’s latest release has been let loose for free for parents. Well, MySpace will be offering parental notification software Zephyr this summer. In nutshell, IMSafer seems to be doing a bit less or equal to that of Zephyr.
