Techcrunch started its CrunchBoard and Om Malik added a job board to in his highly popular GigaOm last Friday. They are not the only blogs to have launched job boards. paidContent.org started it sometime back and some famous names like Alarm:Clock and 37 Signals too have started a job board.

The trend is new but the idea seems to be excellent. Why? Well, the idea is that the job boards of these blogs feature niche jobs for those who visit their blog. Generally, either the audience of these blogs is in the industry or interested in the niche subject the blog publishes. Therefore, it makes having job boards on these blogs meaningful.

Going by the trend, it seems this is going to be a standard feature on the niche blogs that we see. GigaOm charges $200 per listing. Now bloggers/blog owners can look for other sources of revenues than only the conventional ones - online ads and sponsors.
