The online movie download business seems to be the next most profitable business for companies. As the latest trend shows, it would be soon a crammed field like VoIP. Wal-Mart, Amazon, Apple are some of the big names already have major plans for movie downloads soon. Now another one jumps into the fray.

This time it’s Memocast - the online seller of foreign language films. It is now looking for some VC funding for increasing its library and market the service. However, Memocast is trying to be a bit different here. While the other companies are vying to sell Hollywood titles, Memocast is trying to be the first one to peddle foreign language and international films. Though Memocast site is catering to the customers seeking Russian titles, it hopes that it will be able to offer an assortment of films in 43 languages to pick up from.

In my view, I would like that Memocast would be very successful if it manages to pull in the funds and goes ahead with the scheme. At least there wouldn’t be an immediate cramming of companies in this field in the near. Memocast has already started thinking that way and it shouldn’t be very hard to get the necessary funds to build up its library.
