Millions of MySpace addicts can now easily access their MySpace accounts on their mobile phones. The social networking site, MySpace has launched a free MySpace version for mobile phones.
Now, MySpace users can access the social networking site from any web-enabled mobile phone or PDA can while on the move.
With the mobile version of MySpace, users can update their friend requests, post messages, post bulletins, update blogs, comment on pictures or just visit the site. But you can not upload photos directly from your phone. Users will be subject to advertisements, provided and powered by Baltimore’s Millennial Media.
Previously, users have to pat about $3 a month to access a phone-friendly site on their mobile phone. Now, MySpace has joined its hands with other web content providers in scrapping fees for advertising support to deliver best content to the small screens of mobile telephones and personal digital assistants. The parent company, Fox Interactive Media is planning to launch similar mobile sites in the coming months.
Millennial is already making mobile ads for companies, including Sony, Universal Pictures, Yahoo and Proctor & Gamble. The ads looks like banners or text links and they are published on mobile sites run by companies like CBS and WeatherBug.
Previously, MySpace has offered its service through mobile carriers like AT&T, T-Mobile and Helio. With the free MySpace service, you can bookmark the site but for that you need to get a data plan.
