A new version of the increasingly popular Firefox browser is making its debut today. The browser promises that the Web 2.0 thingy can be best experienced through it. It will have an updated anti-phishing tech and will come in with a built-in spell-checker and search engine manager. Previously, these features were available as extensions before.

However, the thing that has caught my attention here is that it came out within days after Microsoft released the complete version of Internet Explorer 7.

Anyway, Mozilla Corporation, the driving force behind the development of Firefox says that over a million people helped in architecting the final release of the latest version of Firefox.

So far, only the Mozilla Firefox has been able to post any significant challenge to the monopoly of Microsoft Internet Explorer and now shares almost 15% of the browser share globally. What’s more, it has been seeing an upward curve in the number of users and market share since its release in 2004.

I have not used the final version yet. However, if I find anything that interests me significantly about the new Firefox, I shall most definitely blog about it. In the mean time, it would be wonderful to get the inputs and reviews of the readers here.
