ChaCha.com, the new social search site that pays people to answer questions from visitors has become functional from Monday. The thing that separates ChaCha.com is that the site will pay what it terms as - ‘guides’ up to $10 an hour spent searching for websites that contain answers to user queries. Moreover, when guides invite other guides to ChaCha.com they can then earn 10% of what the invitee guides earn.

There are four levels of guides:

a) apprentice,

b) pro,

c) master and

d) elite.

ChaCha.com also indexes the responses to questions so that they are available in the event they are relevant to future queries.

Well, this look like a leaf taken off from network marketing or chit fund companies. To be honest, I am not impressed at all. The visit to the ChaCha.com site and asking a query kept me holding for several minutes before I decided to cancel the window. I reckon with the money bait, the sheer number of queries must have overwhelmed the site’s engine. I will give it another shot and if I feel there is something more to write, I shall. However, having said that I must say that the site declares that it is still in experimental stage. So, I guess they are sorting a few things out still.
