The New York Times has now announced a blog on its website that will cater to everything happening in New York. Dubbed the City Room, the new blog will be monitored by Sewell Chan, Times Metro reporter. The City Room blog will offer detailed reporting from each of the city’s five boroughs. It will cover topics such as ‘government and politics; crime and public safety; schools; transportation; housing and economy; and people and neighborhoods.’ In nutshell, the City Blog will cover everything that matters to readers in and around the five boroughs. It will feature lengthened Times photography, Web videos, news profiles and original documents and web resources.
