Newsvine, which started little more than a year ago, has now been re-launched with some noteworthy changes nad they name it Newsvine Evergreen. The reason for the re-launch is to reach all the corners of the internet and blogoshpere as they say in their blog post.

The new redesigned front page features the top story, most popular seeds up top, most active stories prominently placed, and so on downwards, which guys at Newsvine think would lure the readers. Very much like Netvibes, users will now have the ease to move the modules on the page according to their choice. You simply add any news feed to the home page by putting in a RSS feed module. We are doing it already at Instablogs.

They have now collected the local news RSS feeds from hundreds of newspaper sites around the country to show local news in a module side by side to the rest of your content. There will be a section dubbed ‘News in Pictures’ that displays a incessant stream of AP pictures.

The site now has a visualization tool called Newsvis that will let you know how much part of Newsvine you are actually covering by the means of a colorful map. People with large screens can expand their layout to four columns and a whopping 1300 pixels of width

Well, the site has now 600,000 people who visit the site every month. The count is sure to increase with the redesigned looks and more user friendly features.
