pbwiki_48The story of fundings continues. PBwiki, a wiki platform for educators, businesses and folks, has raised $2 million in funding from Mohr Davidow Ventures. In addition, prior investors Ron Conway and Chris Yeh also added additional $100k.

PBwiki has recently added some new features, including the facility to take in YouTube videos, Flickr photos, stock charts and chat functionality to users’ wikis. PBWiki asserts that there are around 200,000 sites using its software and it makes money for the most part through premium accounts, which cost between $10 to $35 a month.

Although PBwiki is a good-looking attempt but it hardly seems to be scoring over its other competitors such as Wetpaint or Mediawiki. Personally, I love their slogan that reads ‘make a free wiki as easily as a peanut butter sandwich.’.
