Plucks RSS reader has shut down and the message posted on the net says that the users have time up till January 5th 2007 to export their RSS subscription links to another service provider.
Well this had to happen! Law of Darwin ‘Survival of the fittest ‘. The market of RSS reader was already full and there was a lot of competition. . They were easy to build, but customer acquisition was never easy.
Now the Pluck is saying that it wants to focus on their other products MyNews for instance which will put publisher contents on the publishers site. Looks like the case of sour grapes after all.
