Google is bringing a new beta version 5.5 of its Google Desktop application iGoogle and after using it I am encouraging you to do the free download. I have downloaded and installed the application in just few minutes and I was impressed with the sleeker look of side bar and Quick Search box.
The new version of Google Desktop, iGoogle will allow users to personalize their desktop with wide range of gadgets, including latest news, weather forecast and various other information. One of the major feature of iGoogle is the ability to build gadgets without any prior programming experience. With the iGoogle gadget, you can design and send gadgets like photos, GoogleGram, YouTube channels, a quote-of-the-day, and a handy personalized anniversary to your friend or family.
iGoogle has also updated the number of themes available in countries outside the US. iGoogle is debuting more 22 themes across the world. With iGoogle, Google is pushing more than search engine concept. iGoogle allows users to create their personalize pages which not only increases number of users but it also opens an additional advertising and promotional opportunities for the company.
