After much speculation, whether SpiralFrog will be launched or not, we now know for sure that SpiralFrog will be launched later this year. SpiralFrog which is an ad-supported free music download site is still facing speculations about its success. Many think that their model that shows ads while you download music from the website won’t be successful at all. The invitations have been already sent to private beta testers.
The website has signed a deal with Universal Music Group which makes it offer around 770,000 songs in its music library. The website will be allowing free but legal downloading of music however, the music will be Windows compatible only. That means that you can play the downloaded music on your computer/ Windows media-compatible player but not on your iPod. Where this restriction of application makes it a little complicated I guess it would pull through times and become successful.
