Some of you might not believe this fact but it’s true. Well, the number one language of the bloggers worldwide, in terms of the count of the posts, is not English or the Chinese but it’s Japanese. I said that you won’t believe it but it’s like that. The State of the Live Web report issued quarterly by Technorati reavealed the fact that Japanese was the number one language in terms of blog posts followed by English and Chinese in the Q4 of 2006. For this, Technorati tracked over 70 million weblogs.
Roughly one-third (37%) of the total blog posts were written in Japanese followed by English written blog posts (36%) and Chinese written blog posts (8%).
Some of the Japanese bloggers are giving credit of this achievement to the nation’s historical roots as a ‘writing society,’ while some of the bloggers are themselves surprised at the results. It has no doubt come as a surprise to the English-speaking world.
