TheFind, the shopping search engine dedicated to deliver the best products to shoppers has acquired Glimpse.Com, the trendy, high-fashion site which was launched recently this year. The amount of the deal hasn’t been disclosed yet, but as rumors go, the deal has been closed for less then $100k. TheFind, which was launched in 2003, developed their search engine last year only, which allows the users to get the latest info and a complete list related to the searched products.
The acquisition of the site is being seen as a move of TheFind in an effort to target and acquire more female audience. The site, Glimpse.com will remain as such but its shopping search engine will be powered by TheFind now. TheFind, which has been seeing lot of competition from competitors like BizRate, Froogle, Yahoo Shopping and mySimon stands apart as it doesn’t charge traders to show their products at the site. Also, as a result of the deal, Glimpse.Com will now be able to cover more online boutiques and retailers. Happy Shopping!
