It is a landmark achievement for TravBuddy, a social network for travelers. Developed by Bjorndahl brothers in 2005, the social networking site has registered more than one million users due to its niche features for the travelers.
To be honest, this is my first visit to TravBuddy. I marked a lot of remarkable features which made me to consider the site, a travel’s guide. It has more than 12,000 blogs, 9,000 travel reviews, and 300,000 travel photos.
It allows members to write about their travel experiences, future tour plans, review the destinations, upload and share photos. Obviously, the TravBuddy users can get other social networking features like profiles, add friends, groups and messaging.
According to Josh Catone, the most important feature that brought success to Bjorndahl brothers is the Facebook app known as TravBuddy.com Countries Visited Map using which the members can embed a map on their profiles. The map shows the countries they have toured.
At TravBuddy, you can find Google Maps application that enables users to integrate travel-related reviews and blogs posts to their personal travel maps. Another interesting feature of TravBuddy is that it allows users to find out a travel friends who can provide you important travel tips and advice.
