youtube34_48A few days back, YouTube was banned in Turkey by a court. Now, just after two days of the ban, Turkey has lifted the ban and has allegedly removed all the felonious videos.

Ahter Kutadgu, head of Turkish communications company Turk Telekom said that they have been notified by the court to lift the YouTube ban. Well, the offended videos stated that the founding father of Turkey, Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, was gay. This sort of censure is taken as illegal in Turkey.
But, YouTube has also agreed not to post such videos in the future. I take it as another step backwards to the freedom of expression in Turkey. Moreover, the bans are in no case helping Turkey who wishes to join the EU.
