
The online video-sharing site with a focus on advertisement - ViTrue has found new investors that include Ron Conway, an original Google investor who is also known as ‘Godfather of Silicon Valley’. This follows its announcement last month of a Series ‘A’ round of funding from Turner Broadcasting and Comcast Interactive Capital. The exact details are still awaited but the report is that it will be less than $10 million.
ViTrue hosts user-generated video like YouTube with its focus on advertising, which is also known as Branded Video Community designed to ‘brand engagement’. Suppose you like a product or anything, you can create your own video promoting it and upload it in the site.
It is a good idea though I am not very sure what exactly they are intending with the recent money stacking spree they are involved in now.
