Weekendr, the startup from Germany has launched today. What makes Weekendr different from other social networks is that it is a social network for weekend activities.
It is like any other social network you create a profile and provide info about your hobbies and interests. You can choose your layouts but can’t edit CSS like MySpace or Hi5 and allows you to insert flash widgets like YouTube videos. You have a blogging section too and a messaging service to your Weekendr friends.
Since the main focus in the network is for activities, there are customizable weekend pages where you can comment etc. The event pages allows you to upload event images and maps.
For the activity partner seekers, this is probably the best social networking site.
