Google’s YouTube recently announced to distribute away first YouTube Video Awards to recognize the best-user created videos of 2006. Now, they have announced the name of the winners from seven different categories, which I had mentioned earlier too. Each category included 10 nominated videos, which could be ranked by users in order of their fondness.
Here goes the list of the YouTube Video Awards winners.
Most creative video — Pop band OK Go’s “Here It Goes Again” music video.
Best Series — Kent Nichols and Douglas Sarine’s ‘Ask a Ninja’
Musician of the year — Terra Naomi’s ‘Say It’s Possible”
Best comedy - Smosh’s ‘Smosh Short 2: Stranded’
Best Commentary –The Winekone’s ‘Hotness prevails’
Most inspirational – PeaceOnEarth123’s “Free Hugs Campaign”
Most adorable video ever — Dony Permedi’s animated video “Kiwi!”
Unfortunately, Lonelygirl15 was left behind by ‘Ask a Ninja’ in the race for the best series. Anyway, YouTube will very soon show what the awards will look like. The winners and nominees are compiled in a gallery here.
