The very time when I was waiting for the WordPress 2.1, the next major WordPress update, WordPress 2.0.7 has been announced just after a few days of releasing version 2.0.6. The latest WordPress version (2.0.7) fixes PHP security problem and the Feedburner issue that was involuntarily found in 2.0.6.
Anyway, considering the fact that this update is not major, you don’t need to update all your WordPress’ files when you are upgrading from the version 2.0.6.
The six files that need to be copied to move over to version 2.0.7 are:
•wp-admin/inline-uploading.php
•wp-admin/post.php
•wp-includes/classes.php
•wp-includes/functions.php
•wp-settings.php
•wp-includes/version.php
The next major version of Wordpress 2.1 is due to come out by the end of this month. I am sure that most of the WordPress community won’t be pleased with the update as they have just moved over to 2.0.6 and the major update WordPress 2.1 is coming shortly. Anyway you can download Wordpress 2.0.7 here.
