Social networks have attracted a lot of consideration lately. They have become a new trend on the lookout for friends online globally. As expected, a new social network is popping out everyday targeting niche members. Following the drift, World of Warcraft has launched its Warcraft social network (WSN) that will enable the users to search for people to play with on the server, to look for the jerks who ganked you, and ultimately to build up a network of friends.
WSN seems to have tried to clone the MySpace or Friendster (poised to make a comeback) with those profile pages, messaging, and comments. They are committed to add new features and make it more user-friendly with the time. Other than the Warcraft-specific appearances, you have the option to add your profile including your name, race etc., and search the members of the same dominion. However, less than a dozen people have joined it by now. Moreover, it doesn’t feature any ‘Browse’ function.
Presently, the WoW’s MySpace page has more than 100,000 friends. Other than the count, the page offers some good user-friendly tools such as customization, and MMOG-related well-liked forums. So, do you think WoW needs any social network? They are already having a good sort of social networking. But one thing is for sure that WSN will certainly lure a number of new members.
