Are you fresher and searching for job? Then yahoo’s new service may help you. Yahoo! is ready to upgrade its service with the launch of new social network, called Kickstart aimed at college students, alumni and recruiters.

The Kickstart allows students to connect with fellow classmates, alumni and companies who may be able to help them with their budding careers. Yahoo is already experimenting with a general-purpose social network, Mash. With the Kickstarts, Alumni can help students in finind their jobs, while students can reach out other professionals in developing their career.

Scott Gatz, senior director of Yahoo’s Advanced Products division stated that this professional network will fresh graduates and college students in building their professional network. Users of Kickstart can post their resume and a photo of themselves. They can also search profiles of other people on the service and try to contact them. Users can search their results by name, company name, college and affiliation.

In an another announcement, Yahoo is also launching a development platform, code named FireEagle, which will eventually enable people to provide their location in one place and also have information across multiple applications like social network blogs and instant messaging services. The data dissemination also can be automated with a GPS-enabled phone.
