Rumors have it that Yahoo is in talks with Time Warner for a possible buy out of AOL. Finally it seems that Yahoo has woken up to the market of acquisition and after the set back of loosing YouTube to Google.
It is planning to acquire some websites so as to increase traffic as in the category of search engine Google is way ahead of the field.
And if the CEO of Yahoo Terry Semel is not able to pocket AOL then there are considerable options in the market.
There is a possible rumor that Yahoo is going to purchase a Youth-oriented FaceBook for $1billion. Yahoo’s profits are down from the last year and what’s killing yahoo is the dominance of Google.
Semel needs something to attract audience away from Google. One possible solution might be to sell or join hands with Microsoft a plus deal for everybody. What will be interesting to see is how many of these rumors come true and what’s the next move of Yahoo.
