In one of the first impact of Google on YouTube and which has the potential to irritate millions of its fan is that YouTube has decided to remove clips of The Daily Show, The Colbert Report and South Park.
Searching for the clips will yield result but on clicking them the message that ‘This video has been removed due to copyright infringement’ or ‘This video has been removed due to terms of use violation’ will appear. The Comedy Central owns some of the most popular content on YouTube, and video sharing sites have driven a massive amount of interest in the shows. The hosts are unhappy with the move.
Let’s hope that some kind of agreement is reached and these shows are back as soon as possible.
