yummyfriends
In the hectic schedule of ours, where we don’t even seem to have a few seconds to call our friends, friendship, socialization etc is fast loosing its track. But thanks to social networking sites, there is still some hope left. Lately, social networks are gaining immense popularity. People have started taking resource to them. On one hand they face problems because of being connected to cyber crime, on the other they are cool, as they make people come together and interact, which is necessary in the fast pace of life today. Many such sites already exist for the teenagers and the younger crowd; however, these haven’t made their impact in the middle aged and older groups yet. Thus, the idea has now changed to targeting these age bracketed people. Sites for adult citizens, for business men etc are coming up. But as we know, women have been ruling the world lately and so, a site called ‘Yummyfriends’, which is also a social network for parents have come up. It is particularly designed for parents who usually have very less time for themselves and their friends because of the kids around the house.

Yummyfriends has been started by Erica Ehm, a former MuchMusic VJ. Well, if you first guessed it as associated with food, I am afraid you were wrong. It is basically a network for mothers and it also supports a Q&A discussion board for posting and discussing the various issues connected with parenting. Like others, in this too you can create your own profile, befriend people, send and receive messages. Thus, the word ‘Mompreneurs’ has been correctly used by Erica, who is also promoting the Yummy Mummy club.

You can also try others such as YourOnRamp and WorkItMom! Well, all you moms and parents out there have a great time and enjoy!
