On April 1, I came across an article on PCWorld, titled Facebook pages We’d like to See. Although it didn’t had the pages I wanted to see, but sure I found it funny; which made me think how my favorite social networking site, twitter, can have some interesting pages.
So here’s my attempt being creative.

Facebook recently announced that it would be unveiling its new advertising strategy on November 6th. This come son the heels of a rumor that Google’s social network, Orkut will be unleashing a set of new features to give the social network leverage into untapped markets such as US. The description or the details of the new features of Orkut are not yet known, but the date of announcement by Facebook seems to be a more strategic one since Orkut was rumored to launch its additional features on 5th November.

The Yahoo Messenger is back in the news headlines again! The Yahoo messenger for the Vista windows has been finally launched. After almost 12 months of last version update, we are getting this new vista Yahoo messenger.
The unfortunate news is that the latest Vista Yahoo messenger doesn’t have any video or sharing abilities which the users are a big fan of. As of now, the Yahoo messenger is only a bare bones version of a fancy text messaging system.

Most of us consider Wikipedia to be the ultimate online knowledge base or encyclopedia. I always use Wikipedia for Celebrity information, games and other technical stuff that I don’t know. The next best thing after Wikipedia is obviously Google. But, with Google about to launch it’s own online encyclopedia the scenario is about to change.
The search engine company Google is going to design an encyclopedic dictionary for internet users. According to Google, this will compete directly with Wikipedia. This ‘dictionary’ has been christened as Knol. I guess that’s probably a short for Knowledge.
The much anticipated launch of Firefox 3 Beta 1 has finally been accomplished. People had to wait months to get the taste of the new technology from Mozilla but now the wait is over.
Firefox Beta 1 is now available in over 20 languages and is available in stores right around the world. The new version is an improved one on its predecessor and is a novel one too.

At times, we feel disgusted when we arrive at a web page with some nice music listed, but to listen to them you first have to download some irritating software. This downloading of MP3 software will no longer act as an impediment, for Yahoo has arrived with a rather amazing music service that requires no software downloads!
You only need your browser to embed some simple JavaScript-based code to activate the MP3 player on any website. This means, you will no more require installing plug-in and flash players. The player in your browser will find the MP3 on a website and create a playlist. Definitely, other popular software will now get a run for their money.
I only hope that Yahoo does not add any money tag to this exciting musical gift.

For the people who are new to the web, StumbleUpon is a great website. It is basically an eBay startup that lets you tag multiple sites, and recommends the same to your friends. If you are keen on discovering more sites or just another net junkie like me, you might want to take a look at StumbleUpon. The StumbleUpon site provides you with four major options: Home, Sites, People and Videos. The latest addition to the site allows us to jump out of the toolbar and go straight to webpages.
I consider this particular site to be a mini blog. Keywords are listed on the right, which allow you to pull up facts, figures and info on various items. This site tells us that converse to the popular belief, the technology does have a social aspect. Here, you can stumble upon 3,719,331 members who joined the internet site. You can contact, meet and share ideas, views and info with the members. The folks visiting the site get to use an extremely user friendly toolbar that allows them to do search the web. If you are bored with all this, you have the option to use the channel changer and check out newer sites.
